To Photoshop or not to Photoshop?
Day two
After a busy day of brainstorming, I now had to find pictures to edit to sample our ideas. I used Getty and trusty Google to find my images. Mark then chose the best pictures and I had to edit our word pairs onto the right objects. Then came the editing …
I had never used Photoshop before so this was a bit tough to begin with - a lot of layers were deleted and redone many a time! When I eventually got the hang of it, I managed to put a couple of the words on a pen, pencil and year planner myself. Even though this sounds very simple, it took a long time - especially the glass walls, as you have to get the perspective and warp the words into looking realistic.
It can require a lot of editing to make something ‘look right’ as I found out after spending half an hour editing a picture of a toilet door.
All in all, today was a little harder than yesterday but still enjoyable. I have picked up some valuable editing skills and hopefully can use these with my photography or future projects.
