What’s up docx?
PC and Macs are just like account handlers and creatives really, they should be able to understand each other and communicate nicely but sometimes it’s like they’re from completely different planets.
For instance us creatives don’t need to go near a PC or use Word other than for opening word docs for a quick cut and paste job. But Microsoft have even made that a pain recently. In recent months account handlers and clients have started sending me docx files. Now, whatever they are macs don’t like them one bit.
Thankfully there’s a fix now, Micosoft have released a format converter that opens these weird files as plain old word docs. But, good luck finding it on the Microsoft website. You can download it here from Mindplunge though (what a great name for a website).
